Before the second world war, this oranged-painted neoclassical townhouse from the end of 18th century was a Jewish restaurant with rooms to rent. Now, black and white chequered floor tiles, big mounted wall mirrors, red quilted sofas and old gramophones create an elegant, but not too formal French bistro feel. Located at the foot of the Father Bernatek’s pedestrian bridge, connecting Kazimierz with Podgórze, Zakładka is a welcome break from the surrounding tourist buzz.
